I used fur(in-built) texture for my worm itself.
This is how the worm looks when its in maya, and only by rendering it then they can show the fur. The fur options and shown above.
This is my worm without textures.
This is supposedly to be my weapon for my worm. I used sphere and a rectangle. and combined them with parent.
This is my eye and eyebrow for my worm. If I do not put the eyebrow my worm would look cute instead. As shown below :p I tilted the eyebrow inwards so that it would look fierce. If i tilted outwards it would look as though it is crying.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For this, I duplicated many spheres and connected them together to make it look like the seperate body part for the worm. Also it makes it easier for animation as I do not use IK for this worm itself. Whilst for the spikes, I used cones and I placed it in the spheres and parented them to each of the body part itself.
Textures:
The only texture I used for my worm is
The eye.
I was playing around textures and I discovered the fur tab
I used different fur textures for the eyebrow and my body.
This is the rendered version. For the eyebrow I used gorilla eyebrows and for the body I used mouse fur. I played alot in the properties to let it look not so furry.
Therefore my final product will be
The video of the animation you can be seen in the final video. Due to the fact that it is taking too long to render this out. The animation I used frame by frame animation, so as in if my worm goes straight, the body will wiggle left and right.
